Describe job opportunity trends in your industry. What does the future look like for your industry?
I see that pets are becoming much more important to families. Family members and clients want you to understand that bond.
What advice would you offer alumni/students looking for a job in your field?
Rule No. 1: Never trust a small animal vet without a dog. Rule No. 2.: Beware of vets who always use “I” rather than “we” when talking about their practice.
What is the best career advice you have received?
The most important person in the world is the person you are currently talking to.
Share one “do” or “don’t” that you have learned regarding resumes, interviewing, networking or job searching tactics.
Be very careful of what you have posted on social media.
Anything else you would like to add?
Get to know the owners as well as their pets. This makes your practice very rewarding and interesting.
