Introducing The Oath: Teach, Heal, Discover

We are happy to share the first issue of The Oath: Teach, Heal, Discover — a quarterly newsletter highlighting the bright minds, innovative research and state-of-the-art medicine at North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, (CVM).

Each issue of The Oath will represent the wide array of unique work at CVM — and the amazing staff, faculty, students, alumni and supporters behind it. From detailed stories on osteoarthritis and cancer research to compelling client profiles and information on inspiring, unique treatment techniques, The Oath will represent the extraordinary insights and efforts that make our community so exceptional.

The Oath showcases both veterinary medicine accomplishments and passionate drive for mindful animal care and our community involvement. In the first issue, you will find a long-form feature story on the brilliant research of Dr. Ken Adler, a look at Class of 2020 member Amie Pflaum, who has gone from a Blackhawk pilot to a her “dream” of attending CVM, and, of course, the survival story of the unforgettable Grace the goat.

The Oath’s stories represent the CVM community — our impact on veterinary medicine, our inspirational leaders and how our daily work changes the lives of millions. It shares our clear-eyed compassion with each other, the wider campus and the veterinary world. It showcases our forward-thinking approaches and our results. It is designed to enlighten, inform and educate.

The Oath is us.
