The Oath: Fall/Winter Edition
In the latest edition of The Oath, the work of the College of Veterinary Medicine leads us on an 8,000-mile journey to the wilds of South Africa to help save poached rhinos from near-certain death. It also leads up to a small computer in the campus’ Research Building, where we’re working to stop pathogen outbreaks in their tracks.
You’ll meet Nekot, a terrier with a serious heart problem that could only be fixed here. We celebrate our 20-year partnership with the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center and showcase how former faculty member Laurie Degernes will continue to make a remarkable impact on education long into the future.
And, as always, we highlight honors bestowed on faculty and hear from Dean Paul Lunn, who looks to CVM’s future with confident optimism.
Please enjoy the new edition of The Oath and thank you for helping to make the College of Veterinary Medicine such an extraordinary place.
