Here’s an exciting opportunity for current sixth- through ninth-grade students to learn about careers in veterinary medicine. The NC State Veterinary Camp will be June 13-17 at the Gateway Technology Center on the campus of Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, students will learn about the variety of career possibilities in veterinary medicine and what it takes to qualify for admission to veterinary college. They’ll meet and work with NC State veterinary students serving as counselors and mentors, tour the veterinary college in Raleigh and visit the NC Museum of Life and Science in Durham. The cost is $210. The deadline for applications is May 6.
