NC State Veterinary Medicine Launches New Website

We’re delighted to announce the new cvm.ncsu.edu website! It has been almost a decade since we’ve made a major update to the site; our new site is more visual, streamlined, and interactive.
The primary goal of the redesign project is make it easier for the College’s many external audiences to discover, learn, and further share important CVM information and resources through a variety of devices including mobile applications.

Substantial research into the needs of prospective students and external partners helped guide decisions about new and innovative ways to make it easier for site visitors to discover required content. As part of the project, more than 10,000 pages and 3,000 documents were reviewed and, when appropriate, updated.

Primary navigation is organized around topics: About CVM, Education, Research, Outreach, Partnerships, Student Life, and the Hospital. Secondary navigation, located just below the search box in the top-right corner of all pages, contains utilities important to key audiences: students, faculty and staff, alumni and donors, animal owners and veterinarians.

Given the scope of the undertaking, the entirety of the new cvm.ncsu.edu will be phased in during the next several months. This transition will accommodate any necessary changes to content and technology. The initial phase involves the rollout of all top tier, public pages. The second phase will focus on a new directory management system and applications for enhanced site capabilities. The final phase will be an on-going improvement process as all pages within the site are upgraded or updated as needed.

The NC State College of Veterinary Medicine is a great resource for future and current veterinarians, animal owners, research scientists, public health officials, leaders in agribusiness, biomedical, and biotechnology fields, and others who advance animal and human health from the cellular level through entire ecosystems. The new cvm.ncsu.edu is designed to help serve this broad community.
