Evans Appointed as Director of Special Projects and Planning

Jenny Evans has been appointed director of special projects and planning for the office of Dean Paul Lunn at the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine.

Evans will oversee the office’s administrative support and provide project management and strategic planning. A Kentucky native, Evans comes to the CVM after 10 years as the veterinary science senior marketing and promotion specialist at the University of Kentucky’s Gluck Equine Research Center. She established the International Equine Infectious Disease Conference as a nonprofit, serving as its international coordinator since 2011.

Evans has taught several service-learning courses as an adjunct instructor and is an award-winning editor and journalist with experience at several Kentucky-area newspapers. She holds a bachelor’s in public relations from Eastern Kentucky University and a master’s in writing with an emphasis on screenwriting from Spalding University. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in educational policy and evaluation in higher education from UK.
