CVM Student Participates in STEM Education Conference
Danielle Lindquist, a second-year student at North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, will help represent NC State at “Bridging the Gap 2013,” an annual conference designed to promote and strengthen
STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) education
in North Carolina.
A proposal by Lindquist to discuss veterinary research and medicine as one of the presentations at the conference was reviewed and accepted by conference organizers, the North Carolina Association for Biomedical Research.
The conference, which will be held at the NC State McKimmon Conference and Training Center in Raleigh, NC on October 14-15, will bring together business and industry leaders, government officials, educators, and others who influence STEM education in North Carolina from kindergarten through college.
