Claudia Osorio (Resident 2005-07)

Dr. Claudia Osorio, Laboratory Director – Salisbury Animal Health Laboratory of the Maryland Department of Agriculture, was recognized by the USDA APHIS National Animal Health Laboratory Network (NAHLN) as Featured Laboratory Director in the NAHLN Update newsletter Volume 5 No. 1, 2013. The article describes, in part, that “Dr. Osorio accepted a combined program residency in Poultry Health Management and Master of Specialized Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University (NCSU). While attending NCSU, she had the opportunity to enhance her knowledge and experience in avian medicine under the guidance and teachings of the faculty of the Department of Population Health and Pathobiology… In 2007 she graduated and received her board certification from the American College of Poultry Veterinarians. Since 2011, she has served as an American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (AAVLD) House of Delegates member from Maryland.”
