Australian Wildfires Relief: How to Help a Country in Need
The Australian wildfires have been nothing less than devastating for both humans and animals.
As the entire continent copes with catastrophe, the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine joins the world in support.
There are many ways to make an immediate impact on relief, especially through the numerous community veterinary wildlife clinics and services on the frontlines of rescue and care missions. Please consider giving to the following:
- RSPCA Australia National Bushfire Appeal: The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is accepting donations to distribute to several individual active services throughout the country. There are subsets of the group in two of the areas among the hardest hit by the disaster: New South Wales and Victoria.
- Australian Veterinary Association Veterinary Benevolent Fund: The fund supports veterinarians financially impacted by the fires and veterinarians helping injured wildlife and other animals out in the field.
Thank you for your support. We are all in this together.
