5th Annual Irondog 5k To Raise Money For Families And Animals In Need

On Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10:15 a.m., the fifth annual IRONDOG 5k will take place at N.C. State’s Centennial Campus. The run/walk begins at the Montieth Research Center, located at 2410 Campus Shore Drive, Raleigh, NC 27606.

Created in 2011, the event promotes healthy lifestyles through exercise while raising money for animals whose owners cannot afford their medical care. Race registration fees, sponsorships and donations support the animals hospitalized at the NC State Veterinary Hospital, while helping to alleviate a portion of the cost.

Last year’s event raised more than $8,000, which supplemented treatment for dozens of dogs and cats.
